Brokerage Sales Representative
Location – Los Angeles
3+ years of experience in Brokerage Sales
Salary: $70k to $95k depending on experience
Book of business Ocean Inbound Freight & Brokerage $200k GP
Minimum 3 years of selling Brokerage & Logistics solutions in a consultative process to executive level contacts.
Experience with sales in the following sectors is preferred, but not a requirement – Food products and fresh produce, automotive (such as auto parts and tires), machinery, electronics, consumer products and general merchandise, steel products.
Experience with sales in the Asia to USA lanes is preferred, but not a requirement.
Commission and excellent medical benefits
Bilingual in Mandarin or Japanese advantageous
Full time – Mon to Friday 9 am to 5.30 pm
Job Description
Position Summary:
Brokerage Sales Representative will develop and maintain client relationships by developing effective ways to transport and clear customer’s freight. This role serves in a sales capacity and communicates with both customer and carrier contacts. Responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, assessing client specific needs, promoting and selling and maintaining sales goals and objectives.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients
Cultivate new sales leads to establish business
Sell and negotiate the client’s services
Responsible for securing and maintaining new business
Provide quotes for current and prospective clients
Ability to make phone calls and spend in excess of four hours on the telephone every day
Proactively identify problems and implement effective solutions
Provide follow-up customer satisfaction with clients as needed
Achieve individual, team, and company goals
Work closely with Brokerage & Logistics Managers to ensure customer freight is being moved cleared efficiently
General knowledge of brokerage operations such Customs clearance process, basic documentation requirements for entry, PGA requirements and clearance process, classification, trucking and delivery of goods, and post entry processes (duty payments, protests).
Minimum Qualifications:
Book of business Ocean Inbound Freight & Brokerage $200k GP
HS Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of selling Brokerage & Logistics solutions in consultative process to executive level contacts.
